WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16
ARRIVALS in MaastricHT

 

 

TefafArrival in Maastricht.

  • Arrivals at Brussels Airport or Eurostar Train Station.
  • Private transfer to hotel in  Maastricht.
  • Transfers from other arrival points can be arranged on request.

Welcome Cocktail Reception with other collectors, museum directors, benefactors, curators and dealers.   

  • Drinks are accompanied by a selection of hors d’oeuvres.  

Dinner at one of Maastricht’s temples of gastronomy, Michelin one-star restaurant Toine Hermsen. Four-course gastronomic menu with fine wines to accompany each course.   

Overnight: Kruisheren Hotel, Maastricht.

THURSDAY, MARCH 17
TEFAF

 

 

Buffet breakfast at leisure available in the hotel.

Walking Tour of Maastricht.
Guided visit of the city for those interested in getting to know Maastricht.

Shuttle to The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) for Private View, the invitation-only preview of TEFAF.

Private View
The invitation to the exclusive Private View includes a catalogue as well as a program of complimentary refreshments:

  • Sandwiches.
  • High Tea.
  • Canapés.
  • Drinks and champagne served.

  

Private shuttle between the hotel and the fair throughout the afternoon.

Return to hotel at the close of Private View.

Remainder of the evening at leisure.

Overnight: Kruisheren Hotel, Maastricht.

FRIDAY, MARCH 18
TEFAF

 

 

Buffet breakfast at leisure available in the hotel.

Shuttle to TEFAF.

Private Lounge with complimentary refreshments.

Optional Guided Visit of TEFAF. 
An introduction to the fair with the 2011 highlights on offer guided by an art historian.  

Various Dealers’ talks scheduled throughout the day. 
As in the past, various dealers will receive small groups in their stands to discuss some of the works on sale.  Topics will range from rare books, to Old Masters, Modern and Contemporary art, antique silver and 19th century sculpture to mention a few.  The foci of these talks will be chosen according to the specific interests and collecting areas of participants on our 2011 program. 

Optional Visits
For those wanting to venture beyond the fair, we organize visits to public and private collections as well as other points of interest in the region.  In the past this has included Aachen (Cathedral, Treasury Suermondt –Ludwig Collection, Couven Collection) Brussels (Museum of Fine Arts, Royal Library for private showing of manuscripts from the court of the Duke of Burgundy, current exhibitions, Victor Horta House) Antwerp (Fine Arts Museum, Ruben’s Studio,  Mayer van den Bergh Collection, Plantin Moretus Museum) and for history buffs, the WWI and Waterloo Battlefields.

Reception hosted by a local dealer.

Dinner at Michelin one-star restaurant Tout à Fait.
Tonight we have invited several dealers each with a different area of specialization to join us for a private dinner at one of Maastricht’s finest restaurants.

SATURDAY, MARCH 19

Buffet breakfast at leisure available in the hotel.

Optional Private before-opening hours visit of the Bonnefanten Museum.

Shuttles to TEFAF from Bonnefanten Museum.

Private Lounge with complimentary refreshments.

Closing Dinner
At Maastricht’s most celebrated restaurant, Michelin two-star Beluga where Chef Hans van Wolde prepares a creative menu for us. A multi-course gastronomic menu with fine wines to accompany each course.

SUNDAY, MARCH 20
DEPARTURES

Departure from Maastricht.
