Before TEFAF opens to buyers, every single work is examined by experts to insure quality, authenticity and provenance. 19 Vetting Committees, consisting of 130 international experts examine each object. Works of art that do not meet the high standards of TEFAF are removed from the Fair before it opens. In addition, the Art Loss Register cross-references all works against their lists of reported art theft. A purchase made at TEFAF could not be more secure.
