Athlyn Tom Dale Marieke Laura Elisa Milena Stephanie Jessica Sofizade Chelsey Julieta Kiloran Mariana Emily Elisa Daniel

Athlyn holds an M.Phil degree in the history of art with a thesis written in Siena, Italy. She taught The History of Medieval Renaissance Art in Toronto, Florence, Siena and Venice and has been involved with organizing cultural travel since 1977. Athlyn speaks fluent English, French and Italian as well as reasonable Spanish.

Thomas holds an Honors degree in English Literature and an LLB. He practiced corporate law for a very short period of time before switching into the luxury travel field in 1982 and starting to focus on Asian contemporary art. Tom speaks fluent English, French and Italian.

Elisa is an art historian who studied at Cambridge and then The Courtauld. She worked at The Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, The V&A then The British Film Institute in London as well as various other positions in Berlin, Madrid, Vienna, Rome and most recently Oman. She speaks English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Greek, Russian and Arabic.

Milena Berman is an art historian having studied both in the USA and at the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain. She has worked at numerous non-profit and commercial galleries in the USA, with dOCUMENTA in Kassel Germany and is a regular blogger on contemporary art. Milena speaks fluent English, French, German and Spanish.

Julieta is an art historian born in Argentina who studied in Buenos Aires, Coimbra and Manchester. She worked many years in London as an executive search consultant before returning to her true passion for arts and culture. Julieta speaks fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Dale is an expert in the cultural travel business, helping thousands of people with their trips all over the world since 1987. From the inception of Benefactor Travel, Dale has run the North American Office and is the point person for all trip enquiries, websites, finance, administration and billing.

Chelsey is an art historian specializing in Post-War and Contemporary Art who was born in Buenos Aires and educated in Argentina, The Netherlands and London. Editor of numerous art magazines, curator of multiple exhibitions and most recently the author of a riveting book on Nazi Art Looting in Argentina. Chelsey speaks fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Laura is a graduate of Downing College, Cambridge University where she read French and German. She was awarded a scholarship in Austria and completed her MA in International Relations in Vienna. Laura speaks fluent English, French and German.

Kiloran is an expert in Italian language and culture with an M.A. from the University of Toronto and the University of Perugia. She taught in Siena, Florence and Venice for many years before studying flower arranging and moving to a small beautiful town in Newfoundland.

Marieke grew up in Belgium where she completed her MA in Sinology at the University of Ghent. Marieke has been designing and leading international cultural travel programs since 1989 and speaks fluent English, Dutch, French, Italian and German.

Meghann was born in Connecticut but moved at a young age to France. She studied for her MA and MBA in Lyon before moving to Geneva and then on to Bilbao. She has worked in the hospitality and events sector in Beaune since 2012 and speaks fluent English, French and Spanish.

Daniel has lived all over the world following his diplomat father’s peregrinations. He studied at Cambridge and then worked in Peru, Brazil, Lebanon, India and China as well multiple European spots. He speaks English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic.

Elisa Torcutti was born in Udine in Northern Italy and earned a degree in International Diplomacy at the University of Trieste. She spent two years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome before changing gears to take on a position at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. She continued in Venice organizing events for the Venice Biennale and Venice Film Festival before moving to France to join Benefactor Travel. Elisa speaks fluent English, Italian, French and Spanish.

Emily was born in the UK but moved to France at the age of 10. She returned to England for university, first at Bath and then for an M.A. at Cambridge. She has worked at numerous international arts and literary festivals all the while owning and managing a rural pub in Cheshire. Emily speaks fluent English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
