Athlyn holds an M.Phil degree in the history of art with a thesis written in Siena, Italy. She taught The History of Medieval Renaissance Art in Toronto, Florence, Siena and Venice and has been involved with organizing cultural travel since 1977. Athlyn speaks fluent English, French and Italian as well as reasonable Spanish.
Thomas holds an Honors degree in English Literature and an LLB. He practiced corporate law for a very short period of time before switching into the luxury travel field in 1982 and starting to focus on Asian contemporary art. Tom speaks fluent English, French and Italian.
Dale is an expert in the cultural travel business, helping thousands of people with their trips all over the world since 1987. From the inception of Benefactor Travel, Dale has run the North American Office and is the point person for all trip enquiries, websites, finance, administration and billing.
Marieke grew up in Belgium where she completed her MA in Sinology at the University of Ghent. Marieke has been designing and leading international cultural travel programs since 1989 and speaks fluent English, Dutch, French, Italian and German.
Milena Berman is an art historian having studied both in the USA and at the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain. She has worked at numerous non-profit and commercial galleries in the USA, with dOCUMENTA in Kassel Germany and is a regular blogger on contemporary art. Milena speaks fluent English, French, German and Spanish.
Chelsey is an art historian specializing in Post-War and Contemporary Art who was born in Buenos Aires and educated in Argentina, The Netherlands and London. Editor of numerous art magazines, curator of multiple exhibitions and most recently the author of a riveting book on Nazi Art Looting in Argentina. Chelsey speaks fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Laura is a graduate of Downing College, Cambridge University where she read French and German. She was awarded a scholarship in Austria and completed her MA in International Relations in Vienna. Laura speaks fluent English, French and German.
Elisa Torcutti was born in Udine in Northern Italy and earned a degree in International Diplomacy at the University of Trieste. She spent two years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome before changing gears to take on a position at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. She continued in Venice organizing events for the Venice Biennale and Venice Film Festival before moving to France to join Benefactor Travel. Elisa speaks fluent English, Italian, French and Spanish.
Julieta is an art historian born in Argentina who studied in Buenos Aires, Coimbra and Manchester. She worked many years in London as an executive search consultant before returning to her true passion for arts and culture. Julieta speaks fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese.
